« The two musicians are totally in tune with the spirit of the works, with the natural accents they call for. They also know how to weigh up the risks, and a few strained notes don't spoil the pleasure. Listening to these subtly flavoured pages is a delight. A number of themes are touched on, such as love's passions without sentimentality, or humour in the second degree, or even fruity elegance and charm. Then there are the dance steps, so skilfully reconstructed, as if the intimacy of the performers' playing refused to be played on the big stage, as if there were suddenly a kinship between the timbres of Dvorak and those of Poulenc! With a duo like this, the velocity is never mechanical, but takes the time to move forward, to tell a brilliant and intelligent story, to the point where there are a few unexpected digressions into Schubert. It's a fascinating recital because it finds new and personal connections. »Stéphane Friédérich, Classica Répertoire, juin 2007
